I wanted to get a couple of minis done to show at NAN in halter and performance, but with work its been hard to get some done. I manage to get a few done, the last on the new pieces before I start planning for Breyerfest and finishing some trade models this month. Here goes! These pictures are from the Mini No Frills show this past weekend and are off my phone, so maybe not the best quality. All of these models are available for sale at Breyerfest this year, Blog readers can purchase them ahead of time, email for details! The first guy is the BOTW drafter with a drastic makeover into a Shire stallion.<br />

This is the Totalis remade into a pirouetting Azteca stallion in my parade set. He has a bull and bullfighting tack as well on the way, but to get him qualified I used my parade set, which now that I look at it, I think he will be the one I show in it at NAN...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here he is side by side with another one that I remade. <br />

I love my Rachel tack! Whats great about these little breyer resins is that they can be remade quite extensively. This little mare is a great performance horse. I only showed her in a few classes, but can't wait to expand her set ups! <br />

Please email for details if you would like any of these guys after Breyerfest! From the next month its all catch up time for me, so there will not be any sale pieces listed until I start doing Breyerfest previews.<br />
Thanks again for tuning in, stay Purdy my friends!Tiffany Purdyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05871521998821273732noreply@blogger.com25tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408836678707153121.post-12155690164137194142013-04-10T07:16:00.002-07:002013-04-10T07:16:19.983-07:00Miami Valley LiveNo, I didn't get to go to Florida, but I did get to travel to Ohio this past weekend to attend the Miami Valley Live show. This was a GREAT show with tons of entrants and super high quality competition. D'Arry and I drove together, so I didn't bring a lot of performance stuff, but the show day was fantastic!<br />

I finally got to show Donnartanzerin in dressage. This tack set by Jen and doll by Jane is one of my all time favorites. I can't wait to show this setup at NAN with my new dressage rails that will be coming soon!<br />

This new guy is Leeuvonhoek, a dutch harness horse made from the Totalis with a salinero head...my other pictures were all fuzzy, but this one with him in his historical side saddle turned out pretty cool. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Tiffilicious was overall CM grand champion, and thats the harness horse in the background again. This little belgian below is a horse that I finally got off my backlog list. This is the BOTW drafter remade with clean legs...NOT a fun project but he turned out great. He was overall mini reserve grand champion!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And look, I have been around Jen to much! This is Marissa, our new pet rat. A student of mine couldn't keep her anymore so we have added her to the Purdy family. She is so sweet! I am sure I will have her under saddle soon!<br />

I have one more show to get qualified for NAN then I can finally finish the last of my trade models. It was wonderful to see all my model friends. I was judging resins, so I only showed a little performance, but here are some highlights. The warmblood mare Donnertanzerin got to finally show off the amazing Purdymobile cart! Bill Duncan made the cart, and Christina Brown made the harness. I need to do a fancier set up for NAN, but that will come later. She did well with limited showing. Won several English classes and in halter and workmanship, so she is off to NAN.<br />

I was so sick last weekend that I didn't finish the Totilas, and I have a bad cold now but hopefully they will be done for this weekend's show in Huntly. If you have any more Purdy Pictures, please email them so I can put them on the blog. Tiffany Purdyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05871521998821273732noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408836678707153121.post-61123151045868397122013-03-05T17:21:00.001-08:002013-03-05T17:21:16.150-08:00Snow Day! Totilas!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In Northwest Illinois, we always say if you don't like the weather just wait 10 minutes.....In January we had days in the 60s, in the past 24 hours we have had 9 inches of snow and its not finished. Ironically, yesterday was the built in snowday for my school, so I have enjoyed an extra two days off this weekend! I got caught up on grading and got some studio work done.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJNNFm35OP8vi4B768Y2ozr7xw0y24X-CKon-z1aKeShYlSVJ_thCtvtFEwxzrLOG9autL0i6sI5Jo7T9G8VFZJJ33ldgvVSsLpMVw8u1_nfzJZupobYMd3QzgFET6tJAbubYOsT9z11l3/s1600/miekasnow.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" jsa="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJNNFm35OP8vi4B768Y2ozr7xw0y24X-CKon-z1aKeShYlSVJ_thCtvtFEwxzrLOG9autL0i6sI5Jo7T9G8VFZJJ33ldgvVSsLpMVw8u1_nfzJZupobYMd3QzgFET6tJAbubYOsT9z11l3/s320/miekasnow.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Mieka however, is not a fan of this snow. Its as deep as she is tall, and it sticks all over to her fur! While we are grateful for the much needed moisture, we are not looking forward to this weekend with the warm temps and rain that will melt this all at once. Sure is pretty now though isn't it?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij0M2yuYJcVJPovSXCgWzuS191KpkdWCZP3tU73TWQEHl5WjFf2AFtnNUm63nTEaBsrbPlI63gb2npfI-4y8p4cPX-aTvOuETMRGeHAZjO3K5Q1AYstwg9Zj8-cB5YxgPBort06TthVDSX/s1600/snowday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" jsa="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij0M2yuYJcVJPovSXCgWzuS191KpkdWCZP3tU73TWQEHl5WjFf2AFtnNUm63nTEaBsrbPlI63gb2npfI-4y8p4cPX-aTvOuETMRGeHAZjO3K5Q1AYstwg9Zj8-cB5YxgPBort06TthVDSX/s320/snowday.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
So on to the studio! Vicky's warmblood mare and my warmblood mare are not far enough long to take a picture...but while painting I did get the two Totilas models in primer! The first is one I did with a more working trot frame. When I got that done I really thought he would make a nice Azteca or maybe a morgan sporthorse? I am thinking a grulla, any ideas?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Below is a warmblood stallion, as he was originally sculpted to be. Both of these guys have had some fetlock and pasturn work done to make them all even and they will have foot pegs...no disk or base! I also cleaned up the left hock joint on both of them. I thought the extended trot looked sharp with one ear flipped back and a more flowing tail, and new braids of course! This is a beautiful sculpture to work with. You really do not have to do much to get a fabulous custom. I did smooth out the necks on both of these guys. They have the same sculpting texture like Alborozo's neck has. Nothing wrong with it, I just like the a smoother texture.<br />

I think this mold has endless possibilities! The sporthorse stallion is taken, but the spanish/morgan one is available. Email for details.<br />

Back to work tomorrow, should be fun in the morning. The winds are picking up and we live at the bottom of a big (well, Illinois big) hill. Wish I had a sleigh from that show last month.<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In my Chemistry II classe right now we are talking about the chemical nature of different types of addiciton. However, my particular one for some reason isn't in the literature.....but as far as the characteristic lack of self control, I couldn't be more textbook. For the sake of readers everywhere, what out for this......</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A clear sign that your tack addiction has gotten out of hand is when you make horses (or trade/buy) so that you can show off the tack you have aquired. D'Arry and I are planning on driving out to NAN this year (yes, the authorities have been warned) and there are a couple of really special tack items that I just have to show. I love all my Buxton sets, there are several I want to show, so I needed a special warmblood mare in a dynamic pose to wear them. Here is Donnertanzerin "Thunder Dancer"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtkBHvP-sukTEDaT8Sw2eHzhZDpSvB5ApYLsaq51O4sz24jH-6IerwAy0zunyY43NpNVguOMYUTtMFv-iTX7OAFFEW4t7Jhb_Sc7_H5vyZWGy5hpK9irHLjuYBUC9iFUq7m30nEOx10mI_/s1600/Donnertanzerin.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gsa="true" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtkBHvP-sukTEDaT8Sw2eHzhZDpSvB5ApYLsaq51O4sz24jH-6IerwAy0zunyY43NpNVguOMYUTtMFv-iTX7OAFFEW4t7Jhb_Sc7_H5vyZWGy5hpK9irHLjuYBUC9iFUq7m30nEOx10mI_/s320/Donnertanzerin.jpg" width="310" /></a></div>
Years ago, I got to see the famous German dressage stallion "Donnerhall" in person. He is my favorite warmblood stallion of all time. This gal will be that wonderful dark liver chestnut color characteristic of Donnerhall. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Why a dynamic pose....well she has to be able to wear that jumping hackamore of course!<br />

And this is Bint Morafina. I needed a pracing arabian to weat the peridot colored costume I showed at Breyerfest last year. Can you guess what she was? And all weathergirl is NOT correct, part of her is<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I need to get my Azteca done to wear the incredible tack from Vicki I got (and yes, get her second horse done!) and I will have a traditional Totilas for sale in the next two weeks. Just a simple custom with new, smaller and more braids...first come first serve on him and you can choose the color!<br />
If you are interested in the other two, they will be for sale after NAN this year. <br />
Stay Purdy my friends!Tiffany Purdyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05871521998821273732noreply@blogger.com18tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408836678707153121.post-55878334832921074402013-02-10T11:04:00.001-08:002013-02-10T11:04:29.077-08:00Sleigh Rally Show!Yesterday was one of the best model horse show experiences ever! Just like I love to go to the Quarter Horse congress live show to see some real horses too, at the Sleigh Rally model horse show you get to watch beautiful sleigh teams perform! I took these with my phone camera, so the light isn't perfect but still I think they are beautiful in the snow. If you read Jen's blog, this one was actually the sleigh that was carrying President Lincoln and his wife. I think they were filming some commercial, this team unlike the others did not stop by the crowds of people for still photos. I chased them through the snow to get this. They are Dutch Harness horses and man could they trot! I was told that this team competed at the World Equestrian Driving Games this past year. <br />

Purdy Zippin Chic will be available after NAN, but this little winner can go to a new home now. With the new year, I too need to get some backlog done. This guy is the first off the trade list (gotta feed the tack addiction). I just love the Brio resin! Hope you like him Vikki, just can't wait to see the tack. Buckskin silver is one of my favorite colors to paint, I really need to do one for myself. One down, and one to go Vikki!<br />

I wanted Tiffilicious to have traditional saddleseat tack, so I even got her a new doll, WITHOUT pink! I show her as a Park Pleasure division horse, set tail, but not a five gaiter. Jen, this bridle is fantastic! (as always)<br />

The hard thing about making her was for her NOT to look like the a walker..so I had to stretch out those clock horse legs and refine them. She also had to have new eyes and bigger, finer nostrils. I love the Salinero head, but the saddlebred standard calls for large, expressive eyes and a straight, not convex profile. So her head actually has been totally resculpted. When I did Lady Liberty and Freedom Generator, the head barely had to be touched.<br />

I got side-tracked with getting Princess Trillium done (see Jen's blog) and have to crack down on myself to get some trade pieces done this next month. But I did want to get a few new ones for myself done for the show I attended this past weekend up in Wisconsin. This first one is Upwey Brass, a remake of the new stone morgan. He has had his head tucked and turned, new mane and tail, and is a rich dappled bay. He won in halter, workmanship, in other performance and western, so he is multi NAN qualified! He also was overall reserve custom champ. This guy is for sale at $550 plus postage.<br />

Having have a training experience like this???? "Kiss this Lyons" was what happens when D'Arry is left alone too long with my stuff. Don't worry Jen, your beautiful saddle survived! Apparently Rat Poison was not thrilled with the attempt at trying to turn her into a performance horse......she did get overall halter champ though. This weekend I was at the GLC No Frills show in Huntley, Illinois. It was a blast and a much needed break from work to enjoy my model friends. <br />

But this morgan was the star of the show! "Light Brigade" is a CM PS new morgan mold into the perfect show gelding. He has to leave for his new home tomorrow, but wanted to share just how successful a standing model can be shown in performance. Below he is showing with my amazing new Aussie set by Jana Skybova. Here the rider pauses to check the map during a Equitrek competition.<br />

Quarter Horse Congress was awesome! Not only do these gals put on a great show, but the whole atmosphere of the real horse showers, the food, and the shopping make this show a must do every year. However, I do have to leave the hubby in charge at home. Being a great dad, he went and got Payton and Mieka's Halloween costumes. Payton will be one of the characters from Monster High, and Mieka is Sparky from Frankenweine, not sure which of them likes their costume more. What is so funny is that Mieka actually loves to put outfits on, such a little princess!</div>

Rat Poison was overall grand in halter and workmanship...whoo hooo! She doesn't look very grateful though.....<br />

My new parade set won its class so now it can go to NAN. D'Arry and I are road tripping out to PA next year, I can't wait!. Hopefully we (okay I) will not eat as much as I did this weekend...the food at Congress is unbelievable. For lunch I ate every type of meat that this incredible real BBQ place had to offer. I think it was only three pounds, D'Arry thinks four...I did let her have one rib<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The little Morgan won its class in breed and workmanship...he is still for sale special price that you will only see here if you read the blog $350!<br />

AND THE SHOPPING!!!!!! One of my favorite things to see is the Harris saddle booth. I don't ride western, but man do I love the bling! I sooooooo have to have this saddle!!! I think I am going to try it in pebbles scale.....scary!<br />

Hard to believe the first quarter of school is already done....the last couple of weeks ended up being a crunch at work, but a fun crunch. My Chemistry II class got to make fireworks (safely) in the new lab, something we never could have done last year, got my quarter assessment written, survived Homecoming week, and FINALLY managed to make something I have always wanted...a pebbles scale parade set!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What Jen didn't mention is how much more I would rather trade for tack than make it. There is a lot of beer, bleeding fingers, and foul words involved when I make tack items, its NOT Purdy! But this is something I have been wanting to do and figured no one would really want to take this one on. Notice, no pink, no leopard...just zebra and lots of bling!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
D'Arry gave me the rider that I customized to fit the set. I really am happy with how it turned out, but this in now way fixes my tack cravings. I did get an amazing pebble Australian set from Rachel that I didn't have time to photograph, but its just make the cravings worse and remind me of how much I enjoy getting tack from others!</div>

Will have internet access while at the show, and have the camera ready this time to take LOTS of pictures of all the horses, including the real ones. If you have never gone to the QH congress show, its amazing! Look for updates on Sunday night!Tiffany Purdyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05871521998821273732noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408836678707153121.post-34523351638267302152012-09-30T07:48:00.000-07:002012-09-30T07:48:23.850-07:00New Customs!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As promised I am working hard to get new pieces out. The school year is in full swing, and before I settle in to a long day of grading lab reports, I wanted to get these new guys up. Enjoy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First on the list is a proven show horse, who NAN qualified at the highly competitive Meows and Minis show just a few weeks ago. Yep, he's a mini, can you guess what he was????? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is the pebbles PS arabian mare with the saddlebred head!<br />
<br />
<br />
Now a stunning Morgan stallion! I made him to look like the "Ideal Morgan Stallion" painting for the AMHA.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Tons of detals, and what a face! $475ppd in the lower 48 states.<br />

I get asked all the time for custom orders, and I really do appreciate the interest, but its just too hard to keep up with them. I will do a custom trade for tack I want (my addiction can not be told no), but other than that I just can not accept. BUT...I have decided to start posting all the new pieces in first coat primer. What that means is they still need a few days of tweeking and sanding, but blog readers can custom pick a color! I go in spurts, this past few weeks I remade items, now for the next couple I paint. I am planning on taking these guys to QH congress in a few weeks, so if you would like to pick a custom color for them you can, and I will show them for you if desired.<br />
First up, this is the BOTW Toitalis.... Hard to believe isn't it? I just love this mold! This guy is now an iberian warmblood, all of his legs and feet have been redone into a forward working trot, and he has a new fishnet mane, more iberian profile, and new tail. He will be on two little bases, not the pop lids of course.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1P75LMT0Rpd7G7mYGDRr4BP5Fv_iSVIrLp9BSOKk_39UNIHvLKcptNDjsxaVmmVSpOd5oZ6aOpEyViTrte8zJkPV_S1NYm9MCKZyK-gE8Aj6mk6qA-lRXXf5cPpfkUim9vSpzLljN0E4/s1600/iberiansportmini.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1P75LMT0Rpd7G7mYGDRr4BP5Fv_iSVIrLp9BSOKk_39UNIHvLKcptNDjsxaVmmVSpOd5oZ6aOpEyViTrte8zJkPV_S1NYm9MCKZyK-gE8Aj6mk6qA-lRXXf5cPpfkUim9vSpzLljN0E4/s320/iberiansportmini.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
His hooves have all been redone as well, so no more thick reulpted on clumpy shoes, I plan to add real metal shoes. $450 solid color choice, other colors on quote<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is an ISH totally redone into a lovely mare. Longer back, totally new neck, mane, and tail, and a new feminie face.<br />

More pictures this weekend...a stunning arabian halter mare and gaited mule coming soon!Tiffany Purdyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05871521998821273732noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408836678707153121.post-36672027407615744562012-09-18T07:04:00.005-07:002012-09-18T07:22:29.092-07:00Mission AccomplishedThis past year has been crazy to say the least. I finally took over the Chemistry classes after ten years of waiting, and walked into a lab that was so out of date and cluttered that it made performing simple labs exercises difficult. I was given a big reward the other day when my Chemistry II students and the new lab made the front page of the area paper. There is still more to do but now I can concentrate of the further developement of the class cirriculum. <br />
<br />
Here are a few new pics for the day. The little appy is a remake of the breyer BOTW mold into a mare. She has a whole new head tuck<br />
<br />
and is NAN qualified in halter and western performance.<br />
<br />
So sorry for the messy post, I can not get this computer to let me insert text inbetween photos! The appy mare is for sale at $450.T<br />
he bowing andalusian is NOT for sale, he is a remake I have been wanting to finish for the longest time, and now Altivario II can finally hit the show ring!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Breyerfest and NAN were awesome! I wish I had gotten more pictures, but will try to post some whenever I can the chance. My camera wasn't working, and I was running around too much to take good pictures anyway. Thank you to all who have sent some to me, and I will start posting them!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got back from Kentucky to a lab that wasn't quite done and school starting in three weeks. Turns out the plumbing was so old in my building it was way more of a redo than expected. The past six weeks were a bit of a scramble, but after the first four weeks of actual school things are finally starting to run smoothly. I figured it was time to catch up on the models! I was just at Meows and Minis last week, so here are some new minis for sale. This first guy got left at home sadly, but he is a drastic custom of the new Breyer BOTW mustang!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I think he would make a great Highland pony too.....Tons of details in this guy, I redid the whole neck, mane and tail, and redid the hind pasterns and left foreleg so he was in a playful running pose. $350<br />

This is the new BOTW drafter with a whole new right from leg! I took it off at the shoulder and reattached it at the correct location, and stretched out his foreleg for a more foreward trot.<br />

Here is one photo sent to me by Marylyn Fowler, I have been wanting to make this scene for years, and it helped me win the Breyerfest overall performance championship for the second year in a row! Special thanks to Jen Buxton for all the other tack I used in this division and Sue Glandon for traded me for the incredible backdrop!<br />

This will be the last pre Breyerfest post, I have to start organizing and packing otherwise I will never fit the Potato Head in the car....(Shannon)! First tonight is a breed that I have rarely seen done, which is a shame since they are such an elegant carriage breed. This is Copernicus, a Gelderlander stallion.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

He is done with traditional european braids, and a banded tail with a shaved top. He would be cool in performance too! This is an Idocus with a Keltic head<br />

Lastly, one of my personal showstring. I had done Khemonahar Ali for myself, with a Khemosabi body and a Nahar head (the other half of the broken resins that made Naharsabi), but with the new central air we put in the house this summer, something has to give. He is a proven multi Live show performance champ with halter wins as well. He has many NAN cards for next year, and will be showing this year in several classes. <br />

He can be purchased ahead of time and shipped, or picked up at NAN. He comes with his Khemo base and his custom trail base pictured above (16x20, has a stream jump he is galloping towards). Price is $900 if picked up at NAN, shipping will be done on quote.<br />

He is a great show horse! If he doesn't sell, I will not be sad! I also have some tack, dolls, and unpainted resins that will be there as well, can't wait to see you all!<br />

So here is the next batch of goodies. For the new horses, I haven't got prices figured out yet, if there is a horse you would really like to know about, please email and I can give you an idea. Again, the new horses can not go into your possession until after the Breyer show next Friday and are not available until the opening of the Artisan Hall on Thursday. They can be put on hold with a deposit until after the breyer show.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First up, a Wixom drastically redone to a charging Comtois stallion. I just love this breed, mainly for its amazing bay silver dapple color it is famous for. He has a full mane, docked tail, and yes, a bit of space behind the ears and under the forelock if you wanted to do Full Metal Jousting!</div>

I have said before how much I love the new Breyer minis-they are so much fun to work with! This is the stock horse, totally redone with a new neck, banded mane, braided forelock, show tail, resculpted face, and a MARE! This frame overo+sabino pattern took forever, but I like the contrast with the dove grulla base color.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Lastly, a proven Champion from my own showstring. I had planned on this being an exact portrait of the great Zenyatta, but with NAN show rules I found out I couldn't do that. So I changed up the color and socks a bit, but this fiesty TB mare is still full of glorious dance and snort. Multi Live show champion "Zenyatta Too" will be showing at NAN, but not at Breyerfest since she was overall Reserve Champion last year. For this reason, she can be sold ahead of time and picked up at NAN or mailed right afterwards, or purchased at the Artisan's Gallery. If you want her ahead of time her price is $750ppd and would need to be paid for before I leave next Saturday.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwpmXsd3W_GM6F1_lL-iIM0e1RZTDZWciYePybb2WdOcceg4RRiT3Ba5GqSZETmkaCsFxBWnCvFCji7YUqiXqsDeQiLcGy7ZOcSrG-aVRKs9Iixifr1azlWEuwxDPCHXhmCpd65i99g0Wr/s1600/zennyon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img $ca="true" border="0" height="207" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwpmXsd3W_GM6F1_lL-iIM0e1RZTDZWciYePybb2WdOcceg4RRiT3Ba5GqSZETmkaCsFxBWnCvFCji7YUqiXqsDeQiLcGy7ZOcSrG-aVRKs9Iixifr1azlWEuwxDPCHXhmCpd65i99g0Wr/s320/zennyon.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
She has tons of halter and workmanship cards for next year's NAN. I never did show her in performance but she would be a blast in race set ups!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXNdjFWy-E5k0EGO8uL4XNXFtaTE5ZsDT1slFqeeR_Wpptwr-8ov-36S1rRqgI1_hKZQ_AgKsQRgTGinFRfe0oBoq6HwEjA_XeNks6Y9QVFXMD41fMDP2htlnzmfkhfgdwCacZvyIKYaIt/s1600/zennyhead.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img $ca="true" border="0" height="252" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXNdjFWy-E5k0EGO8uL4XNXFtaTE5ZsDT1slFqeeR_Wpptwr-8ov-36S1rRqgI1_hKZQ_AgKsQRgTGinFRfe0oBoq6HwEjA_XeNks6Y9QVFXMD41fMDP2htlnzmfkhfgdwCacZvyIKYaIt/s320/zennyhead.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
She even has race shoes on! I used the TWMHC thin shoes on her since they look the most like a race shoe to me. <br />

Finally! Back on line with this years Breyerfest showstring! I have been totally slacking on the blog, as is evident by the fact I had to figure out the new format, so hopefully this works. I will be posting the new pieces a few at a time this week, I have quite a bit done for this year and hopefully a little something for everyone! First up is a Lonesome Glory remade into a metallic sooty buckskin Nez Perce mare, and she is neighing for added expression. I call her "War Cry"</div>

Finally, I got Mole Bait's wife, Rat Poison done! For those of you that know the Mole Bait story, this is pretty much how I felt towards my husband for the next month after "Mole Bait Gate". She is not a conformational model (but then again, she is suppose to be a WILD mustang). She was made for the pure joy of making a piece of art with meaning, and I had a blast doing it. She didn't do better than 5th in her class at her first show, and that is just fine. For all the people like me out there that are not professional artists, that always wish and aspire to improve themselves because in our dreams we would love to be such a treasured talent, we still need to remember we do this because its a passion and to let that passion out. For everyone out that that is a collector, collect pieces that you enjoy, and accept the fact that they will not always win. I love this hobby, it makes my sometimes rather tedious and tiring day job tolerable, and I am grateful to be a part of it.<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRvuQZOmZLc5SlHBhDihOWOTl9T4MuCP_OHVv0NxAXOjthgPZFxFbci5FClIGBA3MKXjup1FmGghfe9bAgPVLcUjCgpqlTOB0j8K_XcDOecXh1N9S-KtA_ODBBM6ZQr_9_BiUDIhD9CzJx/s1600/poisonface.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 263px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5731647202362553586" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRvuQZOmZLc5SlHBhDihOWOTl9T4MuCP_OHVv0NxAXOjthgPZFxFbci5FClIGBA3MKXjup1FmGghfe9bAgPVLcUjCgpqlTOB0j8K_XcDOecXh1N9S-KtA_ODBBM6ZQr_9_BiUDIhD9CzJx/s320/poisonface.jpg" /></a><br />Her eyes are half blue and half brown, her teeth yellowed and sloped forward to show her age. Lumi is doing super at his new home. It was hard to let him go, but he will pass on his incredible gifts to more babies and he is loved. I feel like a parent that had to let her baby go to college. Out of the blue I got an email and a phone call that someone was interested in my cremello Morgan stallion, Amberfields Luminesence. If you remember, I almost sold Lumi a couple of years ago due to a horrible family situation, but that calmed down and I was able to keep him (and to keep Todd happy, I sold pretty much everyone else). Sue Olson, of Rafter Bar D Morgans, is on the left. What so great is that she said she was surfing the net for cremello morgans, found this blog, and the next thing she was looking at was a decapitated model horse! She thought the cremello morgan part was a mistake, but found the model horses were so interesting that she kept reading, and found posts about Lumi.</div><div style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 100%; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaXsYzRJW-RkwlVcekb05FMhQaHjK5UeeNDFf2awKaR7X6Jy0_N9bklZ_DPlQ2P5RIzsC9g5Z5s83A1bRpMzfpL9waPI9K445j-4-VsPaqsQe_jBAzeT6OVDe0gqIUGKsnnL1Ln7uo3HY1/s1600/lumimeandsue.JPG" style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 100%; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 196px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaXsYzRJW-RkwlVcekb05FMhQaHjK5UeeNDFf2awKaR7X6Jy0_N9bklZ_DPlQ2P5RIzsC9g5Z5s83A1bRpMzfpL9waPI9K445j-4-VsPaqsQe_jBAzeT6OVDe0gqIUGKsnnL1Ln7uo3HY1/s320/lumimeandsue.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5720481538462990898" /></a><span ><span style="font-size: 100%;">I was thinking about how next year, when JJ, the part arabian cremello son on Lumi was two, what was I going to do with two stallions, but Lumi is so easy going I wasn't too worried about it. What weird is that a few weeks prior to Sue's call, I was in Wisconsin talking about the colt and how I might sell Lumi next year.....so I was convinced that Sue knew someone in the hobby. Turns out, its was simply fate. It is always hard to let such a kind horse go, regardless of color or being a stallion, Lumi is just a great horse that everyone loves to visit and pet. But now he will be standing at their farm breeding high quality, purebred colorful morgans and I am so proud of him! Check out their website at www.rafterbardmorgans.com</span></span><div><span ><span style="font-size: 100%;">The only </span>challenge<span style="font-size: 100%;">, selling a cremello horse in early spring in Illinois. Sigh, and yes Jen, I know you are rolling your eyes.....<br />I did get Moonpie's circus set up done. She won her costume class, but I can only imagine how neat she will look in her Buxton circus set! This doll is a temporary one made from some Barbie clothes. That so stressed out Payton that I cut up Barbie clothes that I had to give her the doll this morning! Eventually Mieka will be the dog, Gizmo is a cart dog afterall.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlyO-NA-fKjHRUNCD7z0-O8HOdRDZXtPEh6BQCKuAxOXgWTZCqSzn_kVwDoN-HRUT48YaidvdQvPPyKFYGKP4g0JbU5-kYF1NZJ9UkBzD7Azjgq1aFO0wLzxULHze3t7Q6bbvDXF4IXpUt/s1600/circussetup.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5713443623581471650" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlyO-NA-fKjHRUNCD7z0-O8HOdRDZXtPEh6BQCKuAxOXgWTZCqSzn_kVwDoN-HRUT48YaidvdQvPPyKFYGKP4g0JbU5-kYF1NZJ9UkBzD7Azjgq1aFO0wLzxULHze3t7Q6bbvDXF4IXpUt/s320/circussetup.jpg" /></a> I did get Jen's new guy under saddle. This tack set up was made by Kathy Wiggins and won a National Championship in 2009. I still need to get his shoes on...whoops, knew I forgot something! Since Jen hadn't told me otherwise, I showed him as Fred. We have our conference championship tomorrow, then will have to see how <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Regionals</span> goes, but I have managed to get a few things done. I<br />If you like minis, you will love this, these are all the new <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">breyer</span> pebbles/LB size resins I just got. So these guys will show in the CM division! Its not easy getting them off the bases, but they look like totally different horses without them.<br />First up is the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">ASB</span>. This model is stunning by itself. I took him off the base and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">re sculpted</span> the front feet to have pads and long toes. He will have clear pegs in his two hind hooves to make his gait correct. I refined the ears and removed the logo. I am planning on dappled palomino....$300<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfVJtKEbzV4_1G2ISJ8voy0pFrK_xp8o8To_x6uCRYU30qpeZBEOOTdaFHyg43gwOQotL_sO1x_2ED7-ylbzUsDmhJy6zeVMctX7OlTd6ws6Vbqt-fvXZUrPrE4rGX1TOZajB4OgpSv9oY/s1600/asbmini.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5710945407278428562" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfVJtKEbzV4_1G2ISJ8voy0pFrK_xp8o8To_x6uCRYU30qpeZBEOOTdaFHyg43gwOQotL_sO1x_2ED7-ylbzUsDmhJy6zeVMctX7OlTd6ws6Vbqt-fvXZUrPrE4rGX1TOZajB4OgpSv9oY/s320/asbmini.jpg" /></a> The <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">arab</span> needed her ears redone, so now they are flipped back and entirely new. I added to her mane and tail and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">re sculpted</span> her nostrils.
